At Shopko Optical Montevideo, we are committed to your eye health. We are conveniently located at 117 N. 1st St, Suite 5. Based on your needs, our optometrists* provide primary care for all ages, including comprehensive eye exams, prescription eyeglasses and contact lens fittings, and the detection and treatment of ocular diseases. Driving Directions

If you’re coming from the west, head northeast on US-212 E/US-59 N until it turns into SW 1st Street. Just after this happens, you should see Cup A Joe on your left, and then Monte Motor Sales on your right. Follow the road for about half a mile, and we’ll be on your left, just before Sherman Ave.

If you’re coming from the east, head west on MN-7 W. After the second stoplight, follow MN-7 for about a quarter mile to the 1st Street exit ramp. Where that exit dead-ends, turn left onto N 1st Street. Follow the road for about a half a mile, and we’ll be on your right.

About

Dr. McCann’s approach to care is to be compassionate, yet assertive, while using common sense. He feels privileged to partner with patients in their journey of sight. Dr. McCann grew up in Austin, MN, where he played in the high school concert band. He spent 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, running an engine room on a polar icebreaker. He then continued on to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison where he also rowed on an 8-man crew team and led The Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After, he attended graduate school at Illinois College of Optometry, completing his externship in low vision at the Chicago Hines VA hospital.
