Dr. Fitzgerald chose optometry as her profession because growing up as an athlete and outdoorsman, she struggled with the inconvenience of glasses. When she was finally able to wear contact lenses, she gained confidence and freedom and knew that she wanted to help others take the steps to a better life like she did. She is committed to providing an eye care experience including personalized attention in a compassionate environment. She partners with her patients to get to the root of their vision problems and encourages them to feel comfortable sharing health information that can be vital in diagnosing and treating various conditions. She currently resides in Rockford, IL, with her husband and enjoys spending her summers with her family in Lake Mills, WI, enjoying Rock Lake.
